This idea had been niggling at me for some time, so I'm glad to have had the opportunity to show it off through the sncross_bigbang, and doubly glad to have had the chance to work with odysseaia, my talented and gracious artist and a friend I might not otherwise have met. Like its inspiration, however, it is a tale that grew in the telling--and may grow for a while yet, even after I get the sequel posted!
