There's a Kind of Hush

Y'all know I seldom say never when it comes to sequels, but here I think I've reached the best place to leave this particular AU. So for those who might be interested in having the whole thing in one downloadable piece, I've put together an omnibus PDF.

Summary: After three days in Bizarro World, Dean's ticked off at Cas and very adamantly retired. Cas is determined to keep the angelic civil war away from Cicero, not even giving the news of it directly to Dean--but as matters escalate, Sam and Lisa must decide whether to tell Dean all they know and risk ruining his friendship with Cas.

Another step toward clearing out my WIP backlog, this one voted on by my flist. I suspect there's more to come in this AU, but I don't have a particular plotbunny for it... yet.

Summary: Being deaf is bad enough for a hunter. But when Dean wakes up unable to see after being snatched from a museum he was visiting with Ben, he'll stop at nothing to get his eyes, his freedom, and his son back. And he might just learn some valuable information along the way. His kidnappers won't know what hit them.

The first two parts of this AU are here; this story picks up immediately after the end of “Like Silent Raindrops Fell.” This is also kind of a fill for a prompt I posted on the last hoodie_time comment-fic meme, though it’s morphed enough to fit better in this ’verse than in canon or even in its own AU. Some spoilers for Season 6, and a few lines of dialogue borrowed or paraphrased from “Exile on Main Street,” “The Third Man,” and “Weekend at Bobby’s” and from a moment that was in a Season 6 promo but didn’t make it into “Exile on Main Street” as aired.
Summary: Dean may be deaf, but that won’t stop him from surprising friend and foe alike this Christmastide once he and Sam find out that Bobby’s still under Crowley’s thumb.

jennytork; rated PG for mild language and too-heavy-for-tots angst. Mild spoilers for Season 6.

Prompt #1: The beating Lucifer gave Dean in Stull Cemetary has left Dean deaf. He doesn't even realise it until he comes out of his grief two days after everything happened, since Cas leant him his hearing for the last few moments before Dean drove away.

But now he's deaf and it's Halloween. I have this image of him sitting on the bed of his truck, handing out candy and wishing he could hear their voices and wishing Sam was here.
