I read this over the course of the last two days because life has been so busy, but I wanted to give it its due and not rush through it. I am so glad I did. I haven't fully read The Silmarillion, but did have a basic understanding of it (I have read the other Tolkien books though and that helps,as well) This was just an amazing piece and worked so well as an AU...almost wish is wasn't an AU.
I loved it all, but I have to say, the conversation that Dean and Maglor had at the end was my favorite part, and it brought me to tears. Then again, the general fact that the Word became flesh and dwelt among us just so we could gain His pardon tends to do that to me anyway.
