She also kindly beta'ed for me, and quickreaver came up with some astonishingly wonderful art!Note: Title from the German dub, Ein Käfig voller Helden (if you don't know SPN: trust me, I have a good reason for borrowing this title). This story is part of my Crossed Swords alternate multiverse and is a sequel to "Jeep Jockey Jumper," but it stands alone fairly well if you haven't read the earlier stories. Translations for any German dialogue that wouldn't be readily recognizable are available on mouseover.
And though Newkirk doesn't have a big role in this story, I still feel the need--given the timing--to dedicate it to the memory of Richard Dawson.
