You thought I forgot, didn't you? HAHA! I think I've finally hauled the muse back from vacation. Not sure when the next update will be coming, but I do hope it won't take as long as this one did.
Not that I've been entirely idle all summer writing-wise. But most of what I have written has been for
spn_gen_bigbang, so those will be going up... sometime this month.
Spoilers now through 9.17.

Terribly sorry about the delay, folks! The next chapter may be coming later this weekend, but after that, I make no promises. I will finish; I just don't know how soon.
Spoilers if you're not caught up through Season 8.

Been a while since I posted this way...
Apr. 14th, 2013 02:31 am![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
... but I’ve gotten tired of sitting on this story even though I am Stuck, especially knowing that some of you have been waiting for it for some time now, so I’m posting it as a WIP. I therefore make no promises as to the speed or frequency of updates; the next chapter is done, but after that is where I’ve run aground. Reviews may help prod the muse—but I’ll be finishing it eventually regardless, so please don’t think I’m trying to hold the story hostage! RL is just enough of a bear that updates may take a while. (I’ll put up a master post and PDF when it’s finished.)
Many thanks to my wonderful betas,
jennytork and
ansostuff!
Chapter A/N: This prologue is a missing scene from “For Love Is Strong as Death.” If you haven’t read the Tok’ra Apocalypse trilogy before, I recommend that you do so before moving on to the rest of this story, since I won’t be reviewing all of its events here.

... started for the last
hoodie_time comment-fic meme and just now finished.
Summary: Dean’s stuck in isolation with a broken leg and the Roommate from Heck, alias Rodney McKay. Add a bored archangel, a telekinetic brother, and a city with a sense of humor, and Dean might just have a recipe for a prank gone unexpectedly right.

Loads of updates to come...

... but for now, here's a very belated birthday fic for
jennytork, who asked for "bodyswap + deafness"--it turned out rather more complicated than that and was greatly improved by the advice of
ansostuff. Sequel to Tok'ra Apocalypse (now available also as PDFs!).
Summary: For once, it doesn't matter so much if the cause is a witch or another experiment the Ancients abandoned and forgot to turn off. They're still cursed.

News and fic

I've finally caught up on posting fics to my website, including one exceptionally long crossover that I'm not posting as text here because it's a grand total of twenty-two chapters and I don't want to spam anyone. But here's the information for those who are interested:
Series title: Tok’ra Apocalypse
Series summary: Space is lovely, dark, and deep, / But we have promises to keep, / And light years to go before we sleep, / And light years to go before we sleep.
Genre: AU, Gen, Adventure/Humor with a side of hurt/comfort and a dash of angst
Crossover: Supernatural with Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis, plus Stargate Universe cameos
Rating: PG (with a caveat for non-graphic Hell imagery in Volume 3)
Setting: April-November 2010 (late SPN Season 5, SGU Season 2-ish), early 2011
Spoilers: Mainly SPN 5.19-22; references to much of SPN Season 5, SGA Season 5, and events throughout SG-1. All but the final epilogue was written before SPN 6.01 aired, and even that was half-written before the beginning of August. No spoilers for SPN Season 6 or SGU Season 2—to quote Ziva David, “I like my way better.”
( Character list and important note behind cut for potential story spoilers )
More specific notes, warnings, and disclaimers are on the index page for each story.
Volume 1: Snakeheads
Summary: Sam. Dean. Gabriel. A hotel full of System Lords. This can’t be good.
Word count: 17,600 (six chapters)
Volume 2: If Wishes Were Horsemen
Summary: Crowley was expecting two hunters backed by a cripple. Instead he got two Tok’ra backed by the best minds in two galaxies. Oops.
Word count: 31,600 (nine chapters)
Volume 3: For Love Is Strong as Death
Summary: Whatever happens in Detroit, it’s the end of the world as Sam and Dean know it; the Tok’ra just have to keep their hosts alive long enough to see a new dawn.
Word count: 30,731 (seven chapters)
Whew.
ansostuff, you're a champion beta for reading all of that. :D
UPDATED 12/21/11: PDFs NOW AVAILABLE! They're not super snazzy, but they work. :)
